Honestly, I’m thankful for all the books I’ve read so far. Simply for the opportunity, for being able to read them at all.
I’m giving you five groups instead of books, because in this case choosing really is losing.
YA In General
Seriously, there are so many great YA books out in the world. I only had Harry Potter and Twilight when I hit that age. So I’m thankful for all the amazing YA writers, creating books that close the gap between middle grade and adult fiction, and give young people everywhere something to relate to.
Harry Potter Illustrated Editions
I love Harry Potter, it’s no secret.. So you can bet I’m thankful for those beautifully illustrated editions. They give me a whole new way of exploring that magical world.
The Books That Made Me Cry
Because I always bottle up my emotions and crying over a book is a way of releasing the negative build-up that would otherwise cause me to explode at random.
The Books That Allowed Me To Disappear
They let me into their worlds of magic and adventure. They allowed me to escape reality.
The Books That Made Me Who I Am
Because there’s no doubt about it, I would be the person I am today if it wasn’t for the books I’ve read. They all leave their little mark on my soul and I’m thankful for they ways they helped me become “me”.
