Top 5 Wednesday: Problematic Faves

Top 5 Wednesday: Problematic Faves

Characters you don’t want to love, but you can’t help liking.
This is going to turn into a round of who’s your favorite morally gray character… because you know, hero’s are boring. They just want to do the right thing. It’s the inbetweeners I want to read about. They always end up being the compelling ones.
Let’s go!
Draco Malfoy
He’s a bully, I know, but I can’t help but like him. I always wanted to know more, always wanted to see what he was going to do next.
The Darkling – Grisha Trilogy
Yes, he’s not exactly nice (understatement of the year) but there’s chemistry on the page when he’s around. I couldn’t wait for him to show up.
Kaz Brekker – Six of Crows/Crooked Kingdom
He’s a liar, thief and murderer but he’s also an extremely well-written character.
Kaden – Remnant Chronicles
I cannot tell you how much I loved how his character turned out. I can’t tell you any more than that because spoilers so you’ll just have to read it for yourself.
Loki – Marvel Universe
The ultimate problematic fave. I know he’s made all the wrong choices but I’m still rooting for him. I want a happy end for him. I want him to accept himself and open himself up to other people.
